Queensland has some of the highest UV radiation levels in the world. Quality window tint blocks up to 99% of UV radiation, protecting both the occupants and the vehicle's interior. It also significantly reduces heat build-up inside a parked car, which is particularly valuable in Brisbane's climate.

What are Queensland's window tinting laws?
In Queensland, front side windows must allow at least 35% of light through (VLT). Rear side windows and the rear windscreen must allow at least 20% of light through (VLT). The front windscreen can only have a tint strip in the top 10%. We only use compliant film.
How long does window tinting take?
Most vehicles take between 2 and 4 hours depending on the number of windows and the complexity of the rear window. We recommend leaving the car with us for the day.
How long before I can wind down the windows after tinting?
We recommend waiting at least 3 to 5 days before winding down the windows to allow the film to cure fully. We will advise you on cure time when you pick up the vehicle.
Is window tinting available at all Fixacar locations?
No. Window tinting is exclusively available at our West End store at 12 Ferry Rd, West End QLD 4101. It is not available at Bowen Hills, Coorparoo or Virginia.
Does window tinting affect my car's sensors or cameras?
Quality film installed correctly should not affect most sensors. We take care around rear cameras, rain sensors and antenna elements. If your vehicle has specific sensor requirements, let us know when booking.
