Your tyres are the only part of your car that touches the road. Worn, incorrectly inflated or mismatched tyres affect braking, handling and fuel economy. Fixacar supplies and fits tyres for all makes and models across all four Brisbane locations, with competitive pricing on major brands and same-day fitting available in most cases.
Queensland law requires a minimum tread depth of 1.5mm across the full width of the tyre. Driving on tyres below this limit is illegal and significantly increases stopping distances, particularly in wet conditions. We check tyre condition and tread depth at every service and advise you when replacement is approaching.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do tyres last?
Tyre life depends on driving style, road conditions, vehicle alignment and tyre type. Most passenger car tyres last between 40,000 and 80,000 km. Regardless of tread depth, tyres should be replaced after 5 to 7 years due to rubber degradation.
Do I need to replace tyres in pairs?
It is best practice to replace tyres in pairs on the same axle to maintain balanced handling. Replacing all four at once is ideal. We advise against mixing tyre brands or types on the same axle.
What causes uneven tyre wear?
Uneven wear is most commonly caused by incorrect wheel alignment, worn suspension components or incorrect tyre pressure. We check alignment and suspension when fitting new tyres and advise if further work is needed.
Can you repair a puncture?
Yes, in most cases. A puncture in the central three-quarters of the tread can be repaired safely. Punctures in the sidewall or shoulder cannot be repaired and the tyre must be replaced.
Do you stock run-flat tyres?
Yes. We can source and fit run-flat tyres for vehicles that require them. Note that run-flat tyres require a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) to function safely.
